Each MLP team will represent a U.S. state with a strong equestrian and sporting culture. But unlike traditional leagues, these franchises will not be manufactured by executives—they will be co-created by fans through a multi-step public process that includes statewide voting, a national live-stream reveal, and a 48-hour final decision vote.
The league’s media team confirmed that thousands of fans are already pre-registering to vote, signaling massive early momentum.
“Sports should be owned by the people,” said MLP founder Yannick Koffi. “The NFL will give you a franchise worth billions but never give you a voice. We’re changing that. Here, the fans decide everything from the name to the jersey to the culture.”
